Create something for publishing |
| |
Once you have created a document, you must
decide what kind of document it is. If it exceeds 50 pages in
length, it is classified as a manuscript at the Organic Press
which undergoes a different publishing process. Your early
document should be proof-read and compiled the way you would
like it to appear when completed. |
|
| 02. |
Decide on what publishing style suits you |
| |
You need to decide what publishing style your
document will undergo. This means the style guides to conform
to, the placement of visuals, the cover art, credits, ethics and
more. You may also decide at this stage whether you will be
printing, creating an online publication, or a combination of
these. It is a good idea to incorporate a marketing assessment
at this stage if you plan to make this a large publication in
the future. |

Get a professional edit and select a publishing
method + publisher |
| |
The Organic Press is a "green" publisher, though
we have a wide focus, we concentrate on helping those who would
like to be environmentally friendly during the publishing
process. We also publish academic resources and materials more
so than other publishers. You should choose a publisher that
represents your field of interest. After that, you will be
required to have an editor review the complete document,
(usually at that publishing house) to ensure conformity to
specific style guides and publisher rules. |
|
| 04. |
Decide on your distribution methods +
distributor |
| |
At this stage you will have a completed and
published work to share. You may individually share it or have a
representative such as a publisher assist you in sharing your
work. Print and online distribution options are available in
abundance, but you may want to assess which is best before you
proceed.
The Organic Press offers online distribution to 100's of
websites & outlets, and a limited print distribution to
Chapters/Indigo, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com/ca. |
